I've had the chance to surf with Brad off and on over the past 13 years. When I met Brad, I was riding long boards and was around 43 years old and was invited to go to Indo on a trip to the Mentawis. My friend told me that I could only come if I could ride a short board and introduced me to Brad who helped give me the skills and confidence to work down to smaller and smaller boards until I was able to ride boards appropriate to the waves in Indo and the Maldives. Brad started with land based drills (Wave Ki) and then took the principles into the water where they paid off. I've had a few great teachers and coaches in my life and Brad is among the best. I live in New York and don't have much time to surf, but having Brad as a coach has enabled me to enjoy to the maximum the limited time I have in the water. We have surfed all around the world together from Mexico and Costa Rica to a very secret spot in the Caribbean to Indo and the Maldives. Next to the time with my family, these trips have been the highlights of my life and it was only possible for me to surf them safely and proficiently with Brad's coaching and support.
