GERR'S TIPS TO SURFING IN DEVIL WIND

Surfing is easier when the wind isn't blowing cross-shore into the waves. Hence, the term "Devil wind" is also a time when the surf is not crowded. Learning to ride and enjoy surfing in cross-shore waves has everything to do with being soft, having a light touch, good technique, and seeing the wave from a different perspective. It is the ideal wind to perform airs in too. The technique explained, shown, and practiced within Wave Ki on bottom turns, carves, top turns, and cutbacks helps to make surfing in these difficult conditions enjoyable.
